Privacy Policy
Effective August 23, 2026
Starfish Float respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and email signup form, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
When you sign up for updates, we collect the information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address and any other fields shown on the form.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and Microsoft Clarity to better understand how visitors interact with the site through tools such as aggregated heatmaps and session recordings. These services may process technical and usage information including device, browser, approximate location, pages visited, clicks, scrolling, and referral information. Clarity recordings are intended to help identify usability issues; sensitive form content is masked where supported.
How we use it
We use your information to send occasional updates about Starfish Float, its message, and the continuing journey behind the completed book; operate and protect the website and signup form; respond to requests; and meet applicable legal obligations.
Email service provider
We use Brevo to manage subscriptions and send email. Information submitted through our form is transferred to and processed by Brevo under its privacy practices and data-processing terms.
Your choices
You can choose whether optional website insights are used when you first visit. Your choice is remembered on this device and may be changed at any time through the “Privacy Choices” link in the footer. You may unsubscribe from email updates at any time and may contact us to ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you provided, subject to applicable law.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate this website and email program, or when required by law. We retain subscriber information while you remain subscribed and as reasonably necessary for legal, security, and recordkeeping purposes.
Children’s privacy
This website and mailing list are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the project and its services develop. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
